Celine

Never does Phoebe Philo cease to surprise me even though she continues to design with a seemingly bare aesthetic; yet, turning from fall to spring, it all changes. A ring of color contributes a striking boldness to a boxy white blouse. An all-chambray outfit is shape-shifted to be era-less, polished. A deep v-neck dress, at once casual but evening-worthy, in spite of its simplicity, looks undoable by any lesser brand. How she does it we do not know.

My only qualms? White pants do not interest me, and the stiletto sandals are less than enthralling. But the rest captivates.
